Ofsted Reports

The Academy had a visit from Ofsted inspectors on Wednesday and Thursday, 2^nd and 3^rd November. 

All sponsored academies have an HMI monitoring inspection following their first year of operation.  The two inspectors who visited the academy undertook a full programme of meetings and observations.  They also took the opportunity to talk to as many students as possible, some they met formally, and others they ‘chatted’ to as they walked around school.

The report from the Lead Inspector, Rashida Sharif, lays out the findings from the monitoring visit.  We are pleased that they recognise the many systems and strategies that have been put in place to improve the quality of learning experience for all students and our focus on those things that support raising of standards, thus ensuring better outcomes for all.

The Academy will have its full Ofsted inspection in 12 – 18 months’ time.  We are determined and confident that we will have addressed all of the ‘priorities for further improvement’ set out in this report and more!
